Our goal is to raise £500,000.
The KOSB Association is currently supported in part by grant aid from the Ministry of Defence.
This funding will cease, as planned, in 2030, and there is therefore a pressing need to ensure that the Association is resourced to enable its essential work to continue.
Our £500,000 fundraising target, when combined with our existing investments, will allow the Association to operate sustainably until at least 2050.
It will secure benevolence support for our veterans, protect our nationally significant heritage and expand our education and outreach programmes in Berwick-upon-Tweed and across the Scottish Borders, Dumfries & Galloway and Lanarkshire.

Restoring Our Home
The KOSB Association is a proud partner in The Living Barracks Project, led by English Heritage. This major initiative will restore the historic Berwick Barracks, including the KOSB Museum, creating a vibrant cultural hub for the region. Including a contribution from us, more than £14 million has already been secured from The National Lottery Heritage Fund, Northumberland County Council and others.

The Challenge Ahead
The Association faces a significant financial turning point. Ministry of Defence grant support will end in 2030, and we must become fully self-sustaining to continue our benevolence, heritage and education work across the Scottish Borders, Dumfries & Galloway and Lanarkshire. Your support for the Benevolence & Heritage Appeal will ensure that we can meet this challenge with confidence.
