The KOSB Association

Raised in 1689 to defend Edinburgh against Jacobite forces, The King’s Own Scottish Borderers served with distinction for more than three centuries. Following amalgamation in 2006, the Regiment’s spirit and traditions continue through the KOSB Association under the patronage of HRH The Princess Royal. We exist to promote and maintain a bond of friendship between our members regardless of rank, time served, or locations and operational theatres served in.

The Association is managed by volunteer Trustees and Board Members  all of whom served with the KOSB. We are well supported by a professional Museum Team who curate the magnificent Regimental collection. From our historic headquarters at The Barracks, Berwick-upon-Tweed, we pursue three core aims:

Benevolence

Supporting our veterans and their families in times of illness, hardship or distress.

Heritage

We promote and maintain a bond of comradeship and support between our members by preserving the Regiment’s history, commemorating the fallen and curating one of the finest regimental collections in the UK, recognised as being of national significance.

Education

Delivering outreach programmes to schools, cadet forces and local communities, inspiring future generations.
